Jeff, the founder of what would grow up to be Ugmonk had just one question before everything happened: why was it so difficult to find fresh, high-quality, unique items in a modern aesthetic?

Just one month after he graduated college, married his high-school sweetheart, moved to Burlington, VT, and started a full-time design job, he found himself brainstorming the solution to that question.  He designed and launched a few t-shirts centered around his love of typography and minimal design.  He felt like the design culture of the time was woefully lacking in this area, and apparently this sensibility connected with many people all around the world.  What started as an entrepreneurial experiment and an outlet for his passion quickly grew into much more than just selling a few t-shirts.

Every single item of this family-run business is still personally designed by Jeff, and yes, they have a lot more than four shirts available now.
